The Shadow Proclamation

Be Respectful.  Follow the rules.  Be considerate towards others.  This is a place to have fun, so please don't ruin it for others by being rude or mean to another person.  Characters can be mean to each other, but please keep all the fighting and rudeness for the characters.

Characters

No Mary or Gary Sues.  I mean, you could call a character Mary Sue if you want, but please no perfect characters.  Everyone has flaws and people who hate them.  No one is all powerful. 

Your username can be anything, just change the display name to your character's name, or your application will not be approved.

Please use the application template, that way it is easy to find all of the required information.

One character per account.  Luckily proboards has a feature where you only have to remember one username and password, so it is not as difficult as it used to be.

If you take a canon, you must log on at least once a week or your account may be deleted.  Original characters must log on at least twice a week or the account may be deleted.  UNLESS, you notify us in advance of your absence in the absence board.

Threads

Powerplaying is forbidden, unless the other player says it is alright. Powerplaying meaning, you say or make a character do something, a character another controls, in your post.

Word count is simply attempting to match what someone has given you.  If you can't match it or come close to matching it, then ask the others in the thread if they mind shorter or longer posts.  Or ask me to help give you some pointers on how to lengthen the post.

Keep it PG-13 and under.  This is a Proboards rule.  If you break it, the whole forum may be taken down.  And that would not be good.

Graphics

Signatures should not stretch the page.  If they do, they will be deleted and you will be notified about it.  Height should not be over 350 pixels and width should not be over 550 or you risk stretching the page. 

Please use 150x150 avatars.  If they are larger, they will automatically be reduced.  However, smaller images I suggest not using.  But, really, this is more of a guideline, not a rule you have to follow. 

Keep it PG-13 again.  This means no inappropriate images.  It is a Proboards rule, and we may be taken down if you break this.  I will delete any inappropriate images and punishment depends on how badly and how often the rules are broken.
